FAQ
Questions before you choose your planning support.
Clear answers for couples comparing wedding planning, coordination, supplier support, styling guidance, and what Plan A Wedding can hold before and during the day.
The practical things couples usually want to know.
Do I need a wedding planner if I'm planning most of the wedding myself?
Not always. If you enjoy planning and want to stay in control, Wedding Rescue or Final Countdown may be the better fit. The support is there to bring clarity, fill gaps, coordinate suppliers, and make sure the day is not left for you or your family to run.
What's the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?
A wedding planner helps shape the planning journey before the day: priorities, supplier decisions, budget guidance, timelines, styling direction, and logistics. A wedding coordinator steps in closer to the wedding to confirm details, align suppliers, build the run sheet, and lead the day itself.
When should I book Final Countdown?
Final Countdown is designed to begin around eight weeks before the wedding, but it is best to book earlier so your date is secured. The detailed handover and supplier coordination happen in the final stretch.
How far in advance can I book Plan A?
Plan A includes up to 18 months of planning support. Couples often enquire once they have a date, venue, or clear planning window in mind, but you can reach out earlier if you want guidance before too many decisions are made.
Can I upgrade my package later?
Yes, subject to availability. If services overlap, Plan A Wedding will take into account the work you have already paid for so you are not paying twice for substantially the same service.
Do you book suppliers on our behalf?
Plan A Wedding can recommend suppliers, help shortlist options, clarify what is needed, and coordinate communication. Supplier contracts and payments usually remain between the couple and the supplier unless otherwise agreed.
Can you recommend wedding suppliers?
Yes. Supplier recommendations can be included where relevant, based on your style, location, budget, priorities, and the gaps in your current plans.
Do you provide wedding styling or floristry?
Plan A Wedding can help with styling direction, presentation details, layout thinking, and supplier coordination. Floristry is not provided in-house, but suitable florists can be recommended.
Will you set up decorations on the wedding day?
Light styling placement and coordination can be discussed as part of the run sheet. Large installs, floristry, furniture moves, ladders, heavy lifting, and specialist setup should be handled by the relevant supplier or venue team.
How many hours are included on the wedding day?
Final Countdown and Plan A include up to 10 hours of wedding-day coordination. Wedding Rescue does not include wedding-day coordination.
What happens if our wedding runs later than planned?
The timeline is built with practical buffers where possible. If the day runs beyond the included coordination hours and extra support is needed, this can be discussed and may be charged as additional time.
Do you travel outside Melbourne?
Yes, weddings outside Melbourne can be discussed. Travel time, location, and any accommodation requirements will be considered when confirming availability and pricing.
Can you attend our wedding rehearsal?
Yes, rehearsal attendance can be included or added where it would genuinely help the ceremony flow, wedding party cues, or venue logistics feel clearer.
Do you work with our venue coordinator?
Yes. Venue coordinators are important, but their role is usually venue-focused. Plan A Wedding works alongside them while also holding the broader picture: suppliers, family questions, ceremony cues, timing, styling notes, and the couple's priorities.
What happens if you're unavailable on our wedding date?
If your date is unavailable, you will be told clearly before anything is booked. Where possible, Plan A Wedding may be able to suggest another trusted coordinator or a more suitable next step.
Are you insured?
Yes. Insurance details can be provided to your venue if required as part of their supplier or coordinator requirements.
